Gringet from Ayze – mountain poetry in an amphora. Welcome to Savoy. This white wine from the Gringet variety is a rarity – not only because of its origin, but also because of the way it was made. The grapes from biodynamically managed vineyards on clay-lime soils were gently pressed, lightly destemmed and then placed in amphorae, where the wine spontaneously fermented and matured for 2 years. Carefully topped up every two weeks, without any intervention. In the aroma and taste you will find the mountain air melted into liquid form – delicate citrus, white flowers, mineral salinity and a touch of honey tones. Alcohol only 11.5%, but the intensity and length are like a wine a level higher.

Maylis Bernard is behind the Zeroine winery from the small village of Rotalier in the French Jura region. Ohh, wait?! Yes, it's a project of the Ganevat family! The energetic Maylis is the wife of Jean-Francois Ganevat and his flair is more than evident in the wines - although he claims that he doesn't talk to his wife about it at all. :-)
