This wine is not a barrique heavyweight affair – it is a precisely balanced elegance from the White Carpathians. The main role is played by Chardonnay with a light touch of Pinot Blanc. It was all matured in French oak barrels and lay honestly on the lees. The creaminess is there, but in moderation. Salinity, minerality and delicate citrus freshness keep this blend in beautiful tension. The result? A wine with the depth, energy and charisma of old bushes, from soils rich in limestone – a remnant of an ancient sea. Born on the Podkovná lines in Strážnice, where Martin Grombíř gives nature and the vines space to breathe. Some of the bushes here are up to 80 years old – and you can tell.

Martin Grombíř. A name that sounds like the main character of a Moravian wine fairy tale - and rightly so. His Podkovné Winery is a place where grapes don't fight, but harmonize. Where wine ferments the way it wants, and yet tastes the way you would like it to.
Martin doesn't play around. He makes wine naturally, without frills, but with great feeling. He trusts the vineyard, listens to the cellars, and the result is bottles full of life, stories, and joy. No boredom, no dullness - just pure joy from wine that has something to say.
