Vína Herzánovi - Amfora 2022

This orange cuvée is based primarily on Pálava, supplemented with a smaller proportion of Tramin. Its distinctive and distinctive character comes from the use of the traditional Kakheti winemaking method. After harvest, the grapes were placed in a Georgian clay amphora called a qvevri, where the wine spontaneously fermented with the skins for nine months. The long maceration gave the wine depth, structure and a delicate pepperiness, as well as a typical “macerated” aromatic expression. Notes of peach, dried apricots, orange peel and green tea appear in the aroma and taste. This is a wine that requires slow drinking and time in the glass to gradually reveal all its layers.
