Etienne Thiebaud started making his own wine at Domaine des Cavarodes in 2007. The winery is located in the village of Cramans in the northern Jura. He produces wines of amazing purity that reflect the terroir from which they come.
Etienne manages 4.5 hectares of vineyards. The wines are made as naturally as possible, with the reds undergoing semi-carbonic maceration after careful destemming and aging in large old barrels.
Key vineyards include: Lumachelles, located in the village of Mouchard north of Arbois (Chardonnay and Trousseau), Guille Bouton in Arbois (Chardonnay) and Les Messagelins, also in Arbois (Trousseau).
