Ota Ševčík is back in Ostrava. After six years, he's back – Ota Ševčík, a winemaker who needs no introduction, will be back in Ostrava. If you were there in 2019, you know that this will be worth it. And if not – now is your chance to catch up.
Who is Ota Ševčík?
A native of Bořetice, he created his first wine in 1992. A founding member of the Autentisté charter, which unites winemakers who respect nature and a traditional approach.
He farms 2 hectares in organic mode, harvests by hand, does not filter, does not clarify – produces wine the way it should be.
As Ota himself says:
"The foundation of wine is in the vineyard."
What awaits you?
During the evening, Ota Ševčík himself will personally guide you through his wines. You will taste at least eight samples, including some that are not normally on offer. Each wine will be accompanied by a commentary on its origin, production and specific characteristics. The tasting price includes water and of course there will be a relaxed atmosphere with space for questions, discussion and personal contact with the winemaker.

Ota Ševčík - a native of Bořetice, who made his first wine in 1992. He is one of the founders of the chartaAutentiste, which unites winemakers from the Czech Republic and Slovakia with the same opinion on environmentally friendly wine production. Ota farms 2 hectares in two vineyard areas: Kraví hora and Čtvrtě, which he manages in bio rezim.
As Ota Ševčík himself says, "The foundation of wine is in the vineyard", which is why he emphasizes individual care for individual bushes. All harvesting is done manually, fermentation occurs spontaneously and without added yeast. The wine is not impoverished by filtration or clarification. Simply wine according to our taste.
