cuvée made up of 60% Trousseau and 40% Pinot Noir, fermented with whole grapes and then aged for ten months in oak barrels. The aroma is dominated by notes of dark fruit, sweet spices and a subtle smoky touch. The taste is full and firmly structured, yet retains a beautiful freshness that gives the wine length and elegance. A dense and long-lasting finish underlines the harmonious combination of two iconic Jura varieties. A deep, noble red wine with a strong character.

At just 20 years old, Domaine des Marnes Blanches was founded by Pauline and Géraud Fromont. Neither of them came from a family with a winemaking history. Their parents were engaged in classical agriculture. Immediately after the winery was founded, they started farming organically and are now certified by Ecocert. They farm 10 hectares of vineyards, some of which are around 100 years old! The vineyards are located in three towns: Cesancey, Vincelles and Ste-Agnès. In Cesancey, their first vineyard was on white marl soil, after which they named the winery. In the other towns, there is a mix of different soils such as red marl and limestone. All their plots are vinified separately. They mainly work in the vineyards by hand. The wines are aged in stainless steel or neutral wooden barrels with minimal or no intervention.

Our paths crossed in July 2021 at the Le nez dans le vert festival, when we were already in a very cheerful state and Pauline agreed to cooperate, which we are very happy about! :)
