It's worth slowing down here. Veltliner Grüner from the Rokytí route in Kobylí, which spent nine months on whole grapes in a Georgian kvevri and then another 30 months in oak barrels. Organically grown grapes, spontaneous fermentation and, most importantly, a lot of time. The result is a deep and distinctly structured orangeade. The herbal and spicy character is complemented by orange peel, tea tones and firmer tannins. It is not a light orangeade for quick drinking - the wine gradually opens up and changes with temperature and time in the glass. It has 12% alcohol and will definitely benefit from decanting. Ideal with stronger cheeses, mushrooms or food with a little spice.
