bright, vibrant Chardonnay that focuses on tension and precision rather than effects. The nose opens with ripe apple, pear and wet chalk, complemented by a subtle milky touch that is more reminiscent of lees work than wood. On the palate, the wine glides smoothly and precisely, with a distinct saltiness that holds the entire sip until the end. The finish is dry, long and slightly chalky, with a cool, airy impression that naturally invites further sips.

Maylis Bernard is behind the Zeroine winery from the small village of Rotalier in the French Jura region. Ohh, wait?! Yes, it's a project of the Ganevat family! The energetic Maylis is the wife of Jean-Francois Ganevat and his flair is more than evident in the wines - although he claims that he doesn't talk to his wife about it at all. :-)
