Bubbles that run on pure energy and absolute Loire joy. Fetembulles 2024 is Robinot at its most drinkable. 100% Chenin Blanc, a slightly cloudy pét-nat that combines citrus freshness, green apple, quince and a slightly chalky mineral finish. The bubbles are lively but not aggressive — more of an elegant fizz that subtly draws you in for another glass. This is not a fancy sparkling for two celebratory glasses. It is a wine for long evenings, brunches without plans and moments when you want something authentic instead of polished perfection. Robinot ferments spontaneously, without unnecessary intervention, bottles while still in fermentation and lets the wine finish its work right in the bottle. The result is texture, a slight wildness and bubbles that feel alive, not manufactured. According to available information, the 2024 vintage is a pure Chenin Blanc from clay-quartz soils and around 10% alcohol. Perfect with fresh cheeses, fried snacks, chips with cr?me fraîche or just in the sun. One bottle disappears suspiciously quickly. The second is a certainty.

The story of JP Robinot is legendary among wine lovers. He fell in love with wine at a young age and moved to Paris, where he met pioneers of natural winemaking. He subsequently opened one of the first wine bars specializing in natural wines. In addition to the bar, he founded the leading French magazine on natural wines, "Le Rouge et le Blanc". It was only a matter of time before he started making wine himself, so in 2000 he left Paris and moved back to the village in the Loire Valley where he grew up. Jean-Pierre farms a total of seven hectares across two appellations: Jasnières and Coteaux-du-Loir, and focuses on just two varieties: Chenin Blanc and Pineau. d'Aunis. The vines grow on a mixture of red clay, limestone and flint and are organically treated, most often in the form of wild plants such as nettles and ferns. The vines are harvested by hand by Jean Pierre. Subsequent fermentation takes place in a labyrinth of ancient limestone caves under the vineyards. Thanks to the low temperature in the caves, the wines ferment very slowly.
