vertical expression of Savagnin, showing its delicate, gradually opening nature. The nose is subtle, with notes of fresh pear, verbena, light white pepper and damp rock, which together create a clean, unforced aromatic image. On the palate, the wine develops naturally and calmly — it has a firm but not heavy structure, enlivened by a delicate, slightly bitter line that adds depth and tension. The finish is long, salty-mineral and invigorating, with a finish that recalls cool Jurassic stone in the glass.

Maylis Bernard is behind the Zeroine winery from the small village of Rotalier in the French Jura region. Ohh, wait?! Yes, it's a project of the Ganevat family! The energetic Maylis is the wife of Jean-Francois Ganevat and his flair is more than evident in the wines - although he claims that he doesn't talk to his wife about it at all. :-)
