Brand's website: StrohmeierChristine and Franz Strohmeier have been making natural wine since 2003 in the wine-growing region of Western Styria at an altitude of 424 m above sea level in the southeastern foothills of the Alps. Franz is quite a philosophical winemaker: "It is good to patiently observe what happens in the peace and quiet of nature. And the best results are those that occur without the influence of external sources".
Their intention is to continue to develop their idyllic, structured environment with all kinds of plants, animals and small organisms along with the good taste of vegetables and fruits that grow in symbiosis with the grapes. They are committed to producing completely natural wines without any additives or chemicals. They support all forms of life, from the smallest cell to highly developed plants and animals, and this holistic system does not distinguish between pests and beneficial creatures. Strohmeier believes that every creature means something and looks for clues that can further their understanding of nature.
