Dominique Derain

Dominique Derain was originally a barrel maker who decided to start making wine. While studying winemaking in Beaune, he met his wife Catherine. In 1988, they bought 5.5 hectares of vines in Saint Aubin and began making wine. Their first vintage was in 1989. Since then, a new chapter of biodynamic winemaking has begun in Burgundy. Now Dominique has handed over the winery to his colleague Julien Altaber, who makes wines not only for him but also for himself - Sextant.
