Matthias Warnung

Matthias Warnung manages 10 hectares of vineyards around the village of Etsdorf in Kamptal, Austria. He took over the winery from his father in 2010 after learning from other winemakers around the world. He was most influenced and guided by Tom Lubbe (Matassa) and Craig Hawkins (Testalonga). All of his wines ferment spontaneously and without external intervention. He works in the vineyard, just like in the cellar, in complete harmony with nature. His wines exude enormous energy!
