Orange Wine

Orange wine is produced technologically similarly to red wines, but only from white grapes. The fermentation process takes place together with maceration. By maceration we mean that wines ferment together with grape skins. The wine thus takes the best from the pressed must and grape skins. Orange wines do not necessarily have a deep orange color. It depends on how long the maceration takes place on the skins and many other aspects. Orange wines are an unknown discipline for many, but at HokusPokus winebar&tapas they are one of the most popular disciplines!

It is advisable to open orange wine at least 20 minutes before consumption or pour it into a carafe. The wine will breathe air and develop a beautiful aroma. Our professional terminology at HokusPokus winebar&tapas means that the wine will not be "farted". :-)

Regardless of the color of the grapes or wine, natural winemakers are primarily concerned with the absolute elimination or complete minimization of external chemical interventions both in the vineyard and when working with wine in the cellar.
